Some seasons feel like the ground is moving beneath us. Prices rise, jobs change, health fails, and the headlines seem to grow darker every day. In moments like these, four words from Isaiah 52:7 become an anchor: Your God reigns.
He is not anxious
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed” (Psalm 46:1-2). The One who holds the universe is not pacing the floor of heaven wondering what to do. He is seated on the throne.
Three truths to hold on to
- He sees you. Nothing you are going through is hidden from Him.
- He is working. “All things work together for good to them that love God” (Romans 8:28).
- He has the final word. Whatever the headlines say today, the last chapter is already written, and Jesus wins.
A declaration for today
Say it out loud: “My God reigns over my family. My God reigns over my work. My God reigns over my future. I will not be moved.”
The storms may come, but a man who knows his God reigns can stand firm in any weather.
