Pastor Jerry Eze, founder of Streams of Joy International, has given an unusual instruction to worshippers about chewing gum during the inauguration of the ministry’s newly completed international headquarters in Abuja. Addressing the congregation, the cleric warned against chewing gum inside the church and instructed those who already had gum in their mouths to place it on their dresses rather than look for a seat or another place to dispose of it.
He said: “No chewing gum. If you chew gum, please make sure you place the gum on your dress. People of God, don’t try to look for a seat where you are going to put your gum.”
“Don’t Want Angels to Gum Something to Your Destiny”
Pastor Jerry Eze followed the instruction with a humorous but pointed spiritual remark, using the word “gum” to make a connection with the destiny of worshippers. “Remember, if you don’t want angels to gum something to your destiny, anything that you want to gum in church, please take note of it,” he added.
The remark drew attention during the inauguration of the new Streams of Joy International headquarters in Abuja, as the pastor used the familiar subject of chewing gum to deliver an unusual warning to the congregation. The inauguration marked a significant milestone for Streams of Joy International, the ministry founded by Pastor Jerry Eze.
