Nigerian pastor and New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD) convener, Pastor Jerry Eze, has been recognised at a civic reception associated with the NSPPD UK Prayer Conference in Manchester, United Kingdom. The cleric referenced the reception in a social media post, describing it as a civic reception hosted by Greater Manchester civic leaders. The development follows the large prayer gathering he led at Old Trafford on September 26, 2026, which brought together worshippers from across the United Kingdom and other parts of the world.
The reception adds another notable moment to Pastor Jerry Eze’s Manchester visit, which attracted attention through the scale of the prayer conference and the participation of prominent Nigerian gospel ministers.
Pastor Jerry Eze Honoured in Manchester
Pastor Jerry Eze publicly referred to the civic reception in connection with the NSPPD UK Prayer Conference, acknowledging the gathering involving Greater Manchester civic leaders. The reception highlights the engagement between the Nigerian pastor’s ministry and the wider Manchester community during his visit to the United Kingdom. However, the specific nature of the recognition, the names of the civic officials involved and whether a formal award or citation was presented have not been independently confirmed in the available reports.
The development is therefore best understood as a reported civic reception and recognition rather than a confirmed formal award.

Organised by Streams of Joy International under Pastor Jerry Eze’s leadership, the gathering brought Christians together for prayer, worship and spiritual fellowship. Reports from the event described thousands of worshippers gathering at the stadium, with participants travelling from across Britain and beyond. The programme also featured Nigerian gospel ministers, including Mercy Chinwo, Dunsin Oyekan, Sunmisola Agbebi and Kaestrings, who contributed to the worship sessions.
The event brought a major Nigerian-led Christian gathering into one of the United Kingdom’s best-known sporting venues, drawing attention from Nigerian and international audiences.

Pastor Jerry Eze is the founder and lead pastor of Streams of Joy International and the convener of NSPPD, an online prayer platform known for its daily prayers and prophetic declarations. Through livestreams and in-person gatherings, NSPPD connects participants across different countries, providing a platform for collective prayer, worship and spiritual encouragement. The Manchester conference reflected this international reach by bringing members of the prayer community together physically for a large-scale gathering. The civic reception adds to the public attention surrounding the event and the ministry’s activities in the United Kingdom.
Old Trafford Conference Attracted Strong Demand
The NSPPD UK Prayer Conference generated significant interest before and during the event. Admission was free, but advance registration was required because of the venue’s limited capacity. Following the gathering, Pastor Jerry Eze apologised to worshippers who had travelled to attend but were unable to enter the stadium after demand exceeded available capacity. According to reports, some attendees had travelled from countries including Australia, North Macedonia and Sweden. The apology and the reported turnout became further talking points following the conference, illustrating both the demand for the gathering and the logistical challenges associated with hosting a large event.
A Notable Moment During Pastor Jerry Eze’s Manchester Visit
Pastor Jerry Eze’s civic reception comes after a major prayer gathering that brought together worshippers and gospel ministers in Manchester. While further details about the reception and the precise form of recognition remain to be confirmed, the development marks another point of public interest surrounding the pastor’s international ministry.
