Too often we treat worship as the warm-up before the sermon. But in Scripture, worship is a weapon. When King Jehoshaphat faced an overwhelming army, he sent the singers out in front of the soldiers (2 Chronicles 20:21). As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the enemy.
Praise shifts the atmosphere
Paul and Silas were beaten and chained in a prison cell. At midnight they prayed and sang praises to God, and the foundations of the prison were shaken (Acts 16:25-26). Their circumstances had not changed yet, but their worship changed everything.
Why we make gospel music
At Dominion Mandates, we believe songs carry truth deep into the heart in a way few other things can. A lyric sung in the morning can carry a man through a hard day. A melody can remind him who he is when everything else is shouting otherwise.
That is why every song we release aims to be:
- Christ-centred: exalting Jesus above all.
- Biblically sound: rooted in the truth of Scripture.
- Bold: declaring God’s reign, not just our feelings.
Make room for worship this week
Put on a worship song in the car, at your desk or at home, and do more than listen. Sing it. Declare it. Let praise go ahead of you into the battles you are facing.
